The ‘Park with a view’ is back in action
After another round of floodwaters have come and gone, Cass County Park was back in action as of last Friday morning, according to park manager Aderice Sinyard.
This is a very popular landing on Wright Patman Lake due to its great view of the open water, a view that can be seen from every one of the park’s shady camp sites.
Whether its camping for an extended period of time, or just enjoying a day of fun, Cass County Park offers a prime location for various outdoor activities including boating, fishing, swimming or just relaxing and enjoying the great outdoors.
There is a surrounding forest for the nature lovers, and a visit from deer in the area is quite common. There is a playground to keep the children entertained, with working restrooms and showers available. Pets are welcomed at the park as long as they are on a leash. A pavilion and picnic tables are also available.
The park’s hours are from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. The cost for camping is $20 per night and for senior citizens 62 and older, the price is $10 per night. There is no extra charge for 50 amp plugs. The campsites can accommodate RV’s up to 40 foot long.
To come spend a day at the park, the cost is $2 per person at the gate, and those who want to fish, the cost is $5 per person.
No ATV’s, firearms, fireworks or horses are permitted at the park.
The park is located at 1293 County Road 3558 Queen City, Texas. For more information, contact the park at 903-665-0046.
