Volunteers come together to build ‘Little Free Pantries’

There are a total of four ‘Little Free Pantries’ in Cass County and volunteers recently built two that are located in Linden, Texas.
Glenn Lanier, Luci Trahan and Nathan Trammel recently built two ‘Little Free Pantries’ that was sponsored by Cigna Heath Spring and the paint for them was donated by Shorty Braddock.
The pantries are for non-perishable foods for people who are in need or maybe need food and do not qualify for food assistance.
“This is a community based program, the pantries are for people to take what they need and leave what you can,” said County Extension Agent Michelle Valentine.
The pantries are made to be stocked with non-perishable food items and are not to be filled with cleaning supplies, chemicals or razors.
