Chris Clayton, 47, of Bivins, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018.
He was born Aug. 10, 1970, in Atlanta. He was employed by International Paper, was a member of Huffines Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Air Force during Operation Desert Storm. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, camping and coaching baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya Clayton of Bivins; son, Dillon Clayton and wife Jessica of Uncertain; daughter, Angerie “Nyki” Jeans and husband David of LaVergne, Tenn.; his mother, Charlotte Clayton of Atlanta; father, Bobby Howard and wife Kim of Queen City; two brothers, Jeremiah Howard of Nash and Josh Howard of Atlanta; two sisters, Erin Rowe of Texarkana and Emily Howard of Queen City; two grandchildren, Brooklynne and Brayson; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Smyrna Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Terry and Bro. Gene Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Watson Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

LOUISE ROBINSON McGEE

After 103 years of outstanding, glorious, caring and compassionate years, Emma Louise Robinson McGee went to her final reward Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, in a local nursing home. She was born on Jan. 29, 1915, in the Union Chapel Community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Carrie Robinson; her sister, Elna Teague; and her husband of 46 years, Tillman McGee.
Beside a multitude of friends and students, mourning her death and celebrating her life are two nephews, Bobby and Myra Jo Teague of Brownsboro and Bill and Opal Teague of Atlanta; first cousins, Jane Brabham Murdock of Gilmer, Wanda Brabham Posey and husband Don of Temple and Charles and Elaine Brabham of Hughes Springs; as well as, a host of additional relatives ranging from second cousins to great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Atlanta and a member of the What-So-Ever Sunday school class, where she served as class president.
She taught school for 45 years, mostly in the Atlanta public school system, most of those years spent teaching the third grade. She was also a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also a volunteer for the Atlanta Memorial Hospital.
She graduated from McMurry College in Abilene with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She later obtained a Master of Education Degree from East Texas State College in Commerce, now Texas A&M-Commerce.
Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jacob Smith and Dr. John Wilkey officiating. Interment followed at Pine Crest Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dan Nichols and his staff at Ellington Memorial Clinic, the staff of the Wesley House Assisted Living, the staff at Golden Villa Nursing Home and the nurses and aides of Kelton Home Health Care for their wonderful care and love.

DeLorias Milam, 82, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, in a local nursing home.
She was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Atlanta, to M. B. and Eleanor Draper. She was retired from Queen City Independent School District. She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle, a volunteer for Atlanta Memorial Hospital and several other charities. She enjoyed spending time spoiling her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Milam of Atlanta; daughter, Rhonda Soileau and husband Mike of Atlanta; son, Don Milam and wife Rhonda of Atlanta; sister, LaRue Lee of Queen City; brother, Benny Draper of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Beth Soileau Lanning, Brooke Eaves Allen, Brianne Milam Hale and Amy Soileau Crump; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
